Ms. Ryan

Ariane Ryan has taught for five years in Union City and this is her second year at JMSA. Currently she teaches six different theatre classes: Acting I, Acting II, Musical Theatre, Honors Musical Theatre, Ensemble Workshop, and Directing. In addition, she directs and choreographs the theatre department shows, and runs the Theatre Club.
 
She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Performance & Speech from Wagner College and her Masters in Educational Leadership from Saint Peter’s University. Ariane has also received training from NYU’s CAP21, Rutgers’ Mason Gross, and the New Jersey Ballet Company.
 
With over 15 years of work in the industry, Ariane has performed across multiple mediums and in a multitude of Off-Broadway, Regional, and International venues. Highlights of her career include being a five-time Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Award Nominee, being a four-time NY/NJ Metro Award nominee, and performing at fringeNYC and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. To this day, she continues to work as a professional director, choreographer, and performer throughout the tristate area.
